standards of practice, and the information can be scary. So when it comes to looking through a scarylooking
home inspection report, what really matters?
Most of your report will be maintenance itemsthat are common to almost every home. But the items that you really want to focus on are:
1) Major Defects, and 2) Safety issues.
While sellers are not obligated to fix everything in your inspection report, most sellers are willing to rectify major defects and safety issues, or at least negotiate on them. So focus on what really matters. Everything is fixable, but make sure it is something that you personally want to take on.
