Mold spores are everywhere, and if they can find a spot that has moisture and poor ventilation, then that’s an ideal location to grow. Your bathroom could easily become the home to a mold colony if you don’t take care, and once you have a mold problem, it can adversely affect your health, as well as, damage your property.

Minimizing moisture can be a challenge in a bathroom, especially if you take very hot showers, since this can cause condensation in unexpected locations. Having a bathroom fan that funnels out as much moisture as possible is important. A malfunctioning fan or ductwork that is blocked could be a major problem unless it is taken care of.

You should always dry up any puddles that collect in your bathroom. Some will keep a squeegee on hand in the bathroom to help dry up the shower after using it.

You should also avoid having piles of wet clothes or towels piled up in your bathroom.
